The Sheath Dress is a classic shape with a contemporary edge. With a rounded neckline, grown-on sleeves and subtle shaping, this has all the makings of a modern classic. Adapt the design to suit your style by adding a sash belt or an elasticated waist, in seam or patch pockets, and your choice of fastening; button and loop closure or simply pull on.

This multi-purpose sewing pattern gives you the choice of:

  • Button and loop closure or simply pull on
  • In-seam or patch pockets
  • Sash belt or elasticated waist
  • Lengthen or shorten to your preferred length

New to sewing? With minimal pieces and an easy-to-fit style, this is the ideal pattern to start your dressmaking journey. More experienced and looking for a pattern with endless hacking potential? The Sheath Dress is the ideal base to create your ultimate dress.
