The Aesthetic - Curated Sewing Kits

Welcome to The Aesthetic - a thoughtfully curated sewing kit for the modern, mindful maker. Each kit is a beautifully assembled project featuring a high-quality Avid Seamstress sewing pattern, fabric, and all the haberdashery you need to create a truly special garment. 

Whether you're building a handmade wardrobe or carving out a space for creativity, The Aesthetic is here to inspire, support, and delight you - right from the moment it arrives.

How It Works

✂️ Bi-Monthly Kit

Kits will be offered bi-monthly: April, June, September (we’ll skip August), and November 2025 – starting again in February 2026. Kit's are released on the 1st day of the relevant month. 

📩 Early Access for Subscribers

Subscribers are notified first, giving you exclusive access to preview and purchase the kit before it goes public. All remaining kits will be offered to everyone else on the 5th of the relevant month.

Limited Availability

Some kits will have limited stock; others may be made to order depending on fabric availability.

• Carefully selected high-quality fabric - with options where available.
• All the haberdashery needed to complete your project.
• Exclusive video with top tips for the project, including pattern & fabric tips.
• Video support on any areas of the garment that need extra support.
• Membership to our private Facebook group for support and community.

Subscription Details

Kit Cost

We’re moving away from two separate subscription options that we previously had - Curated & Luxury. Instead, there will be one kit per release, with different price points depending on the fabric and contents.

Shipping

Kits are shipping approximately 3 weeks after orders close to allow time for sourcing and packing. Shipping rates vary depending on fabric and package size, with the pricing listed with each kit.

FAQs

Am I tied into a subscription service?

Nope! The Aesthetic is not a subscription you're locked into. When you sign up, you'll be signing up to our general newsletter and you'll be tagged as interested in the sewing kits. Subscribers simply get early access to preview and purchase the kit before it's available to the rest of the newsletter subscribers and the general public. You choose the kits you want, when you want them. 

What if I miss the window to order?

Once the early access window closes, kits may still be available to the general public but stock is limited. If the kits sell out, they won't be restocked so we always recommend ordering during a subscriber window to avoid missing out. 

What if I don't want the kit?

No problem at all. If a particular kit isn't your style or the timing isn't right, you can simply ignore the email. There's no commitment - just beautiful kits when they work for you.

What if I want to buy this as a gift for someone?

Absolutely! There are a couple of lovely ways to gift The Aesthetic:
